Teenage pregnancy remains a complex issue with multiple causes and diverse consequences in our society and requires a spectrum of interventions. The increasing recognition of child marriage as a national problem in Sierra Leone – and given the strong link between child marriage and adolescent pregnancy – has led to the need to address the two issues jointly.
The strategy expected outcome is to reduce adolescent Pregnancy and Child Marriage in Sierra Leone through integrated and coordinated interventions of all partners (Government, UN agencies, NGOs, Civil Society and Youth Organizations).
